Plain-language summary. JobGantry is construction project-management and field-service software. We collect the information you and your team enter, plus data you choose to connect from QuickBooks Online. We use it only to provide the service to you, we keep it isolated to your company, we never sell it, we protect it with encryption and access controls, and we delete connected QuickBooks data when you disconnect.

1. Who we are

JobGantry ("JobGantry," "we," "us," or "our") provides a multi-tenant construction project-management and field-service platform. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, store, and protect information in connection with the JobGantry website and application (the "Service"). JobGantry is operated by A & E Developments LTD. Its registered mailing address is 199 Petworth Dr, Victoria, BC V9E 1J4, Canada.

If you have questions about this policy or your data, contact us at privacy@jobgantry.com.

2. The information we collect

We collect the following categories of information:

  • Account and contact information — name, work email, company name, role, and authentication data (including hashed passwords and two-factor authentication settings) for the people who register and use the Service.
  • Business and project data you enter — the records you and your team create in the Service, such as jobs, estimates, proposals, invoices, purchase orders, bills, time entries, customers, vendors, subcontractors, documents, photos, and field reports.
  • Connected accounting data (QuickBooks Online) — if you choose to connect QuickBooks Online, we access and store certain data through Intuit's API as described in Section 4.
  • Payment information — if you subscribe to a paid plan, our third-party payment processor collects and processes your payment details. We do not store full card numbers on our systems.
  • Usage, device, and log data — technical information such as IP address, browser/device type, pages or features used, and timestamps, collected to operate, secure, and improve the Service, and to diagnose errors.

3. How we use information

We use the information we collect to: provide, maintain, and improve the Service; authenticate users and secure accounts; calculate job costing, billing, and reporting; sync data you have connected (such as QuickBooks Online); provide customer support; send service-related communications; detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, and security incidents; and comply with legal obligations. We do not use your business data or connected QuickBooks data for advertising, and we do not sell it.

4. QuickBooks Online / Intuit data

Connecting QuickBooks Online is optional and is initiated by an authorized user of your company through Intuit's OAuth 2.0 authorization flow. This section describes how we handle Intuit data specifically.

  • What we access. With your authorization, we access and synchronize records such as customers, vendors, items, invoices, bills, time activities, and payment status, solely to provide the accounting-sync features of the Service.
  • How it is used. Connected QuickBooks data is used only to provide the Service to your company — for example, to avoid double entry by pushing posted bills and sent invoices to QuickBooks and reflecting recorded payments back in JobGantry.
  • Who can see it. Your data is logically isolated per company in our multi-tenant architecture. Intuit data connected by your company is accessible only to that company's authorized users, subject to the role-based permissions you configure. We do not make one customer's Intuit data available to any other customer.
  • We do not sell it. We do not sell, rent, or trade Intuit data, and we do not use it for any purpose other than providing the Service to you.
  • How it is secured. OAuth access and refresh tokens are stored encrypted. Access tokens are refreshed only when they expire. Application credentials are stored securely and are never exposed in client-side code.
  • Retention and deletion. You may disconnect QuickBooks Online at any time from within the Service. On disconnect, we delete the stored authorization tokens and stop accessing your QuickBooks data. You may also request deletion of previously synced QuickBooks data as described in Section 8.

Your use of QuickBooks Online remains governed by your agreement with Intuit. JobGantry is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Intuit Inc.

5. How we share information

We share information only as needed to operate the Service and as described here. We do not sell your personal information or your business data.

  • Service providers (subprocessors). We use vetted third parties to host and operate the Service, including cloud infrastructure (Amazon Web Services), our payment processor, and email-delivery providers. They may process data only on our instructions and to provide their services to us.
  • Intuit. When you connect QuickBooks Online, data is exchanged with Intuit to provide the integration you requested.
  • Legal and safety. We may disclose information if required by law or legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of JobGantry, our users, or the public.
  • Business transfers. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may be transferred subject to this policy.

6. Data storage, location, and security

We host the Service on managed cloud infrastructure located in Canada (AWS, Canada Central region). We apply administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information, including: encryption of data in transit (TLS) and encryption of sensitive data at rest; role-based access controls and per-tenant isolation; optional two-factor authentication; audit logging of sensitive actions; and signature verification of inbound integrations. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Data retention

We retain information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. When data is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it. Connected QuickBooks tokens are deleted upon disconnect as described in Section 4.

8. Your rights and choices

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Account administrators can edit or delete most records directly within the Service. To make a rights request, or to request deletion of your account or previously synced QuickBooks data, contact privacy@jobgantry.com. We will respond as required by applicable law (including, where applicable, Canada's PIPEDA, the EU/UK GDPR, and the California Consumer Privacy Act).

9. International users

We operate from and host data in Canada. If you access the Service from outside Canada, you understand that your information will be processed in Canada and other jurisdictions where we or our service providers operate, which may have different data-protection laws than your own.

10. Children's privacy

The Service is intended for businesses and is not directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here and revise the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be communicated through the Service or by email where appropriate.
