Ask any foreman about their last field app and you'll hear the same complaint: it stopped working the moment they walked into a basement or a steel-framed mechanical room. Lost a timecard. Lost photos. Re-entered everything that night.

Offline-first, not offline-maybe

JobGantry's Field mode is an installable PWA with a real offline queue backed by on-device storage. When there's no signal, actions don't fail — they queue. When the connection returns, the queue replays automatically. The crew never thinks about it.

What the crew can do from the field

  • Clock time against the job, phase, and cost category
  • File field reports with photos of what was done on site
  • Receive POs and view the current (non-superseded) drawings
  • Submit T&M tickets, safety forms, and truck-stock transfers
Field-first by default: field and apprentice roles open straight into Field mode — a streamlined, large-tap-target interface — instead of the full office app.

Why offline changes behavior

When an app is unreliable, crews stop trusting it and fall back to paper and memory. When it always works, the data actually gets captured — which means your job costing and billing are built on real field input, not end-of-week reconstruction.
